One of the most common choices these days is a gas heater. There are many different types of gas heater, but most run on butane or propane. Most of the models are fairly inexpensive. The main benefit of a gas heater is that they give consistent heat, are fairly cheap to run and are portable. Or at least many of them are.

You could have one built in, but it is hardly worth it, unless you are using gas that needs to be vented. Propane gas heaters also come with or without thermostatic controls. A propane heater could also double as a patio or deck heater on chilly evenings.

These gas heaters come in two forms: vented and unvented. The unvented models are the portable ones. They use the air from the room and the vented models have a flue that vents straight out of the garage. The slight disadvantage of the unvented model is that you have to keep the room airy at all times.

Therefore, if you decide on a portable, unvented propane heater, you must leave a window partly open in order to allow the exchange of air and these heaters can be used as patio or deck heaters during the spring and autumn/fall. However, the vented gas heaters are fixed and have a flue attached, so they cannot be moved outside. Furthermore, if you opt for a vented model, you would be better off getting a professional in to install it for you by the book.

Fleas and other parasites need always to be awarded the top priority by dog owners. The all too common incidences of flea bite allergy in dogs causes worry to many dog owners every year, especially in the summer. The drug is available for external application also.

Heart worm, fleas and other parasites in dogs need to be destroyed by using the relevant medication on them. Loads of products have come onto the market to protect dogs from heart worms, fleas and other parasites like hook worms, whip worms, round worms, lice, ticks etc.

Out of the heart worms, fleas and other parasites, fleas can produce a hyper-sensitive over-reaction in the infected animal. Animals infested with fleas scratch their bodies very vigorously. Often the scratching is so severe that the skin becomes super-sensitive and dermatitis occurs in the scratched patches of skin.

The consequences of a serious flea infestation is often that the animal can not lie down for long or sleep properly because of the constant flea bites. So, the animal appears to have some serious skin issues. If the the animal is not properly treated for these flea bites, there could be a secondary bacterial attack in these sites and there may even be a rotten smell coming from the affected area of your dog’s skin.

Therefore, the best policy to adopt is to keep a keen watch on your dog. This could very easily be done at bath time and when you are grooming him. You can use an anti-flea and anti-tick shampoo, which will keep these pests at bay, if used regularly. Couple this with regular grooming with a lice comb and the use of a flea collar should keep your pet flea, lice, and tick free.

When it comes to choosing a screen, the first consideration is the type of screen you want or even need. If the room where you are setting up your home theater is large, then you will have to have a home theater projection screen or maybe you just want one anyway.

I, personally, like the idea of having a drop-down screen, but sometimes you have to have one even in a modest home theater. It converts your living room into a home theater: you recline in your chair; click a button and a screen drops down; click a button and the lights dim; click another one and the movie begins!

However, if you prefer a television screen, then you might be considering buying a new one. They say that a 27 inch screen is adequate, but I do not think it is. I really think you need 48-60 inches, but then I am a baby-boomer and my eyes are definitely not what they used to be.

If you are purchasing a new TV for your home movie theater, I think you should aim high. HDTV is already here and since February 2009 the USA is committed to High Definition. Therefore, I would make sure that your new television is capable of receiving it. Then I suggest that your new home movie theater screen be a flat one in order to reduce the annoying reflections that could ruin the experience, which could be another reason for choosing a projection screen.

Then you should ensure that the new television has enough input and output sockets for the equipment you plan to use and youre done. So, to summarize, I would go for:

I would definitely get a receiver which is already satellite enabled, because it is the future or even the near future. If you get a satellite TV connection you will have access to HDTV downloads which you can watch on your new home movie theater installation whenever you want.
